Hello everyone, I am Deric "Deebo" Gibson. I was born and raised in Huntington, WV. I've played football my entire childhood life throughout high school.
At the age 21, I moved to Parkersburg to be closer to family. After my mother's passing in 2019 I decided to enter an amateur West Virginia boxing contest. My hard work and dedication helped me win that contest in 2019 and 2020 as a amateur Heavyweight Championship.
That inspired me to keep going with the sport. In the beginning of 2020, my older brother Rodney introduced me to Coach Gary Wolfe and Wolfe Boxing. By Summer of 2021 I began my amateur boxing career.
After winning several amateur fights and most recently losing a close decision in the East regional heavyweight championship to a #1 ranked heavyweight in the US, and I also won the 2023 super Heavyweight Tri-State Golden Gloves
